Drive / Power Train Belt Advantages (not Tail)

A few helicopters use a belt drive for the power train. (This is from the engine to the rest of the helicopter, please note, anyone mentioning tails in this thread is to be shot).

SAB Goblin, Blitz Avro Quest / Kyosho , and the Avant Monstro use a belt for the engine power transmission. All of these except the Goblin come in nitro.

In theory the advantages of belt drives are
- Vibration isolation.
- Load fluctuations are absorbed.
- No lubrication.
- High efficiency.
- High tolerance for misalignment.

Have you SAB Goblin flyers, and even the other mentioned RC helicopter flyers noticed...

Well it would appear from my sources that Futaba have something cooking in the kitchen. Something slightly upmarket from the 14SG - the 18SZ. Rumors state that it has a touch screen interface with a BIG color display. This might be something to be very excited about if you are in the market for a new transmitter

Well it was a sunny day so i thought i would ask my new heli if she would like to go out and party.. We hardly knew each other so I wanted to make sure that i would take my time - get to know her first - as you never know what a someone is really like untill you get to really know them deep down.

The date started well. First flight, some mild tricks, slow hurricanes - a couple of really hard pogos and ticktoks. When finished I went back to the clubhouse to have a break. Lucky i did because when showing off my new girl to Mick, the tail pitch slider bolt fell out! I forgot to put...

Info New Super Gracy

New Super Gracy on display at the 54 Shizuoka hobby show.

Top one looks like a 700 size and perhaps might be designed to suit the Forza 700 since the Sylphide E12 700 size is now discontinued and that there are no air intakes on the front, given the motor and speedy in the Forza would be to high up to benefit from the airflow, while the bottom one looks like a revised EX version. One thing to note is that there is no longer the rear horizontal fin....
