Hi everyone. Just a general question regarding the heligods forum layout. At the moment we have all recent posts in ANY thread located on the left of the forum and the center section has the for sale items listed. Would you prefer this current layout (as it allways has been) or would you prefer the forum contents listed in the center section (as shown at http://www.heligods.com/forums )

A few more changes... just subtle ones. Now the thread prefix shows in the new posts list AND the last persons avitar to post also shows

I see what you mean. Probably a modular website would be the way to go. Where the user can customise the lay out to their pref. For ie: the middle section Classifieds, Right hand corner Recent Posts, Left hand side Status Alerts etc etc. What ever the user wants

Since our change we have trended upwards with regards to traffic by 10% so something is working so far. Its more of an application database rather than a website, changes require php/asp/css coding and multiple levels of testing - its not possible to drag and drop. The only change we have done to date is to make the center include all posts now rather than just the sales (apart from some performance mods). We are going to include a simple sales selection tool as well to take you direct to sales. From the center section you can review (if you have lots of time) ever single post ever created - or you can search for specific posts. We will keep adding enhancements over time...

I gotta say that i actually like it! It's good to look at and scrolls like facebook on PC well. Everything from the center if i want or go back to a traditional list in the forum. I spend all my time on the home page most times and yes i just look most the time
