I had a chance to check the XL Power helicopters out at IRCHA this year, and they are very solidly built machines. I think they will become quite popular in a short time.

Hi @Geena :) What were the standout features? Weight? Strength? Agility? or innovation?

I would have to say all of the above. Ra, really went all out when he designed this helicopter. The 700 prototype he had on display, was super light, yet very robust. It had a huge diameter tail boom, maybe 40mm, with boom supports. It also had upper and lower frames, so repairs after a crash should be simple and not require any unwiring of servos..ect. The main shaft was around 15-16mm diameter and there is plenty of room onboard for the electronics to ride without having to jam them all together.

Was anyone really smacking this heli around? I had a look at the tail design - classic over/under lever for the tail which is good. Servos are screwed into the frame... bit harder to service compared to say goblin but weight saving.

Wondered about the frame limiting motor choice...

These are only "JUST" observations with no foundation. IE the gear material might make it much stronger etc

Ra was smacking the shiz out of the 700, at IRCHA. It took it like a champ, and didn`t seem to mind beaten on.
