Just curious if anyone has tried the Cyclone blades. The shape of the blade is unique. It is tapered towards then end and has a variable foil shape that is supposed to provide high speed tracking and excellent 3d capability.

DIfferent is the right word but still very good. Early days yet but looks promising. Agree with the reduced volume... untill you flog them a bit, then they growl!

I thought that too, they do sound different, I think the growl is a lower frequency, which may suggest less energy loss (which would explain comparative longer flight times), I don't know, I'll throw them on my beater and give them more of a workout and let you all know.

I got my N7 tuned up a bit better today and got a few more flights on the Cyclones so far im loving them they track awesome through everything that I can throw at them and the high speed stability is something to be reckoned with

I must admit however the halos are still a very nice blade as well.... both are good and bring something different to the table. It just depends on what you like

Had a chance to put a few flights on the Cyclones over the weekend and gotta say I'm impressed with how they feel.
They have a really crisp and responsive feel in tight manouvres and track really well in FFF with no pitching. I still need to do a little more tuning on the FBL settings as the swept tip generates more stability further out the blade with the COG closer to the root than the blades I had set the FBL unit up on.

And the hat is made from Kangaroo scrotums (not really, just Kangaroo leather - but @Andrew R reckons it is). I don't think I'd know the front end of a cow from the other!

Well got a few flights in after work tonight and did some tweaking with the cyclic gains on the TASG and its feeling really locked with the Cyclones now :D

The more I fly it, the more I'm liking they way it feels with these blades and definitely getting longer flight times.

Would you say they are your favorite blade now @Matty? If so what is your second choice?

For my style of flying I'd have to say yes. I was previously using Edge SE and Radix V2 blades (both great blades but slightly different characteristics) on my 700's so its hard to say what my second choice would be but blade choice is a very personal thing and what works for some might not work for others.
