I Like this new section! I know there is support for clones but really? they are dangerous. They break. Unless you know what you are doing you can end up in hospital. Also they are rip of other peoples hard work. They stifle ingenuity. If there were no clones, better designed helicopters would be cheaper and there would be more innovation!

[IMG] [IMG] Mikado published 5.3.4 firmware on 7th Nov 2012:

      http://www.vstabi.info/en/version5.3.4

Software is protected since April 2013:

Anyone could download firmware for few months. Am I right?

Older versions do not "call home".

Apperently Mikado lawyers did not sue anyone. Did they?

Was hardware patented? In which countries?

Before calling other thieves read this:

      http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use

      Is Mikado registered trademark?

To claim copyrights you have to register them first:
      http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_registration

      Did they?

Thanks to China, there are cheap clones of EVERYTHING these days. Personally, if I buy a cheap clone of anything, I'm buying it with the intention of modifying it, engineering out whatever flaws I find and making it my own. I do this more for the challenge than anything else, that and the fact that I can't afford to run out and drop $1000 on a high-end quality machine right now.

      Utrique

Read the letter Hobby King had sent out in post #65,

      HobbyKing admitted to infringing copyright.

You can make up as much shiz as you want on this forum, but at the end of the day, Hobby King was legal officially put in its place.

      And its stealing.

I think this thread should be removed on the grounds it's bordering condoning things like theft of intellectual property.

      I think it's a disgrace.
