      Ok first things first.

So I thought that I would do a build thread on the E7SE to contribute to Heligods in a more serious way than I have been up until now... :p
I know that the E7/E7SE has probably been done to death on other forums, but this is my first build thread and as I've already built one and a half Synergy's so far hopefully this should go together nicely. It will be a slow process as I've only been dabbling in helis for a little over a year and it is actually only the fourth full build that I've done. 1st was the Warp 360, 2nd Synergy N7, 3rd Synergy N5C (Half complete and on the back burner at the moment) and now the E7SE.

      Running Gear:
I've been trolling around different forums trying to find a good setup that will give me plenty of flexibility both now and as my skills progress.

So far I'm going with the following, but that may change as I go: Also, a big thanks to the guys who have already given advice on their setups.

      Motor: Xnova XTS 4530 525kv
Speedy: Kontronik Jive Pro 120HV with heat sink (may get something cheaper to tide me over until the pro is released)
Servos: RJX FS0521HV (Cyclic) and FS0521THV (Tail)
FBL: VBar Pro with DSMX Sats or CGY750 if I switch to Futaba in the mean time
Blades: Rail or Edge (not sure on sizes yet)
      Batteries: Still researching

I'll start off the building tomorrow after work by giving all of the CF components a bit of wet and dry action to dull the sharp edges.

Yep, same as the Scorp the stator is 45mm diameter and 30mm thick. Other specs are very similar to Scorp too, but the XTS is rated at 5.1kW continuous instead of 4.8 kW and supposedly higher efficiency too. After hearing what @Dale Worthington has had to say I will need to keep collective pitch and head speed down a bit so that I don't burn through the batteries too quickly.

I was heavily leaning towards the Scorpion 4525-520kV but I picked the Xnova up for under $400 new, so couldn't pass it up. This motor like the 4525-520 is wound in star/star or YY configuration which means not having to run the Kontronik in KSA mode either.

I managed to get a bit of building done last night. I've concentrated on getting all of the sub assemblies built so far. You'll have to excuse my poor photography skills.

The images are huge, I think I'll re-size them all or just upload them as thumb nails and everyone can just click on the ones they want to see.

Here is a sneak peek of half of the main frame assembly. Hopefully my rudder servo will be her tomorrow then I can install that, square it up and loctite her together.
