    - You want to build 380 instead of 800
    - You want to pay $100 for canopy instead of $4
    - You are prone for marketing hype
    - You want to build heavy pig using heavy motor, ESC, lipos
    - You think boomstrikes were caused by lack of the piece of paper or tape:

    - You want to drive a "Ferrari" manufactured in Asia (Vietnam?)

      Lol utrinque....
Yes canopies are expensive BUT... They look very very sexy ( IMO).

I dont know about being super heavy?
Goblin AUW - 8 lbs. 1.4 ounces (Ready to fly minus batteries)
700E AUW - 8 lbs. 9.7 ounces (Ready to fly minus batteries)

But once you put in big motors and batteries well it will get heavy.
Boomstrikes? There were a few in the initial goblins but lately? Just have to make sure of the 145mm gap.
I think everything on the planet is manufactured in asia now
Landing skids are good incase it snows!

I think they fly different - feel like halfway between a trex and a TDR. I prefer the feel of a goby to Trex but I have not flown many different models of bigger helicopters yet. So i have alot to look forward too!

You either love or hate the goblin.

      - You want to build 380 instead of 800,

Well, Goblin do make a 770, its only 3 centimetres short of an 800.

Goblin can at least hold their head up high and say their Goblin 500 uses 500 mm blades, their 570 uses 570 mm blades, their 630 uses 630 mm blades. etc etc.

John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

Can other manufacturers that make a 450, 500, be as righteous?

      - You want to pay $100 for canopy instead of $4

I dont own a Goblin, I own a Mikado, so I have to pay a bit more, but, I know I am not paying for retinal barrage,

      - You are prone for marketing hype

Goblin have innovated and released the Urukay with 3 blades.

      Gartt has innovated what?

      - You want to build heavy pig using heavy motor, ESC, lipos

I had a Hirobo Lepton, I turned it into a heavy pig by using a Hobby King Lipo, ( I wonder what other things Hobby King sell ), and I actually thought having a small helicopter that weighed a lot was not bad, as when it came out of a stall turn, it had plenty of speed, which equals kenetic energy for the next stall turn on the other side of the runway.

      - You think boomstrikes were caused by lack of the piece of paper

Hobby King helicopters are better than being a piece of paper out of tolerance. The first and last hobby king helicopter had screwed up one servo mounting by a few millimeters.

And a boom strike was not good enough, try a tail failure in flight due to gentle sport flying.

      - You want to drive a "Ferrari" manufactured in Asia (Vietnam?)

There is no difference between a CNC machine that operates in the northern hemisphere to one that operates in the southern hemisphere. I am pretty sure Coriolis force does not effect a CNC machine. So this shouldn't be a factor, as Vietnam is still in the Northern hemisphere.

      - You like Santa sleight skids

Dam right I do, Santa got me a Logo extreme 480 for xmas. Thank you SAB for providing Santa with the sleight skits so he could deliever my extreme 480.

Clarification regarding "380 instead of 800" statement.

Compare total cost of Goblin 380 build with the cost of Gartt GT700 DFC (Assault 700) stretch to 800 using Align parts and commended by me Gartt motor, YEP 180A HV ESC, TGY 805 and 815 (KST) servos.

My point is that only (discontinued) Goblin 700 kit for $600 was not highly overpriced.

For $199-$260 (depending on shipment cost) you can get airframe able to handle 810mm blades or 700 good for smack.

$395 for 380 kit is making me laugh.

Goblin as a heli is probably fine. Price tag is funny.

      Goblins cost more.

      Hirobo also costs more.

Hirobo also do things like Structural Stress or Finite Element Analysis when they design things. It costs money to hire a proper engineer to do this.

So, later on, manufacturers like Hirobo and Goblin have to sell their kits for a certain price to pay the engineer.

Now lets laugh, here is a picture from Helifreak posted by RockinRush, is this a Goblin or some other heli? LOL ^_^

      This is Align swash above.

      Indestructible Goblin:

I was flying with Assault swash 25 flights without issues.

Read my threads about Gartt I do recommend using Align or even Goblin swash.

Goblin 770 kit no electronics $956
      Assault GT700DFC kit $215 + Align swash $30 + slant main gear $20 + Align 700 to 800 stretch kit $30 = $295

Gartt does not have to innovate. You get three 800s instead of one 770.

Actually I like Gartt 700 frame design more than Align 700. Try to fit YEP 180A HV on Align plastic nose. Gartt has CF nose with much more free space.

I created this thread to provide some balance to few Goblin 380 treads.

Definitely I am not going to get one but it does not mean Goblin is bad.

I am glad some pilots agree with my point of view.

Benji has not only Assault 800 but also Chase, Agile 700, Goblin 570. He had less problems with Assault upgraded with some Align parts than with Chase, Agile and Goblin. He totalled Goblin 700 in ninth flight and did not rebuild it. He liked it but cost of repair was to high. Rekit would be cheaper. He ordered second Assault kit...

I am not particularly interested to get one. Reasons you can find in first post in this thread.

Anyway 60C lipos would give you pop. ;)

Forgive me little bit of sarcasm.

guldukat reached 305km/h with Gartt/Assault 700. Check Gartt 800 thread and Assault thread on RC Groups (with videos)

TDR crashed at 277km/h due to mechanic failure.

How was this speed measured? Using a GPS speedo is not an accurate way top measure speeds, the 277km/h TDV crash was measured using timers and radars. As they say "adding a voltron can increase the top speed by 100 km/h"

      lol good thread.
But the extra fat in the profits will keep SAB going which is a good thing, considering the hobby is retracting.
