We are planning on attending IRCHA this year instead of the F3N Worlds as there was no team going and would be a hard gig solo.

I am after people's input in the way of do's and don'ts, tricks and tips to make both the travelling and the stay most enjoyable with least pain.

Probably travel with two 700's and the 380? We are going to be flying into Indy on the Saturday and leaving the following Week Monday.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers

I sent James D a message. Hopefully he responds! He has more experience with the international circuit than anyone.

Hey guys a few things we did on our overseas trips.

Flew as direct as possible so the Helios didn't end up somewhere else

The case you plan to take you hear in needs to be well set up because the airlines are brutal. Our Helis has room around them and held in with a bit of timber over the skids and numerous foam blocks to support the helicopters which also help if there is and ruff buggers at the airport.

Also let the airline you want to travel with know what you are taking and try to get a letter from then saying you are allowed to have what you are carrying. This helps if there are any questions from boarding staff. You can show them the letter and can be on your way

I'll see if I can find some pics of our case set up so you can get a bit of an idea for yourself

Don't hesitate for any other questions

      James

Cheers for the info James. I think the packing of the heli's is top priority, have had a few suggestions, some even suggest using a hardcase suitcase to keep away from oversize and slow to come out baggage. I guess it's a little easier to remove booms from Goblins and pack them.
We are going to fly in through Dallas with that being the only stop, hopefully minimizing the chance of shiz going missing.
Cheers for the info so far.

Hey Murray. Come say hello and remind me who you are (old man memory). Lynx/OXY will have a booth again this year and Gold sponsors, so I'll be there all week.

Any idea of what this type of case is called? Looked at a golf case today and it was pretty small.
