    Hi guys

As I was more unlucky then lucky with Align because of quality differences of their shipping outputs and their "we are sorry to hear about your problems" politics in customer service I want to sell all my Align helis and build something new. Something realy precise, durable and with the ability for very low AND very high headspeeds. The brand should be well known because of the availability of spare parts. So no clones or small brands please. Im looking for a model size 600 upwards.

Im getting more and more into the world of hard smacking in real life this season and I realy love it. Its awesome to hear that hard blade farts. Muahahaha.. But I need a better machine now!

So if you wish, we could build the ultimative machine for me in this thread, maybe for some other people as well. I plan to buy it this year (maybe there is coming something new i didnt heard about?) and we should come around with $ 3 grand without tx and lipos. Yeah, Im looking for an electro machine.

First of I would like to know the brand you suggest and why. Then after choosing we could configure the electronics together. Are you with me? Yeah? Than lets go!

    Kind regards,

    iggy

I see some dissagreement with my math:
So tell me exactly what is wrong with it?

Mikado Logo 700 XXTREME combo price is 2000 Euro or $2300:

      http://shop.mikadousa.com/02216-LOGO-700-XXtreme-Combo_p_1096.html

      It does not contain servos.

Show me fancy big brand servos cheaper than $150. infamous BL815H cost $156:

      http://www.aligntrexstore.com/BL815H-High-Voltage-Brushless-Servo-HSL81501_p_2787.html

Heli usually needs 4 servos... right?

Show me 5Ah lipos 60C cheaper than $70.

Those prices are fact. Unless iggy wants to equip his fancy Mikado 700 frame with cheap motor, servos, gyro, ESC...

      He does not.

Fancy radio alone can cost $3000 at Hobbyking:

      http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...h_2_4GHz_Helicopter_Radio_System_Mode_1_.html

I do not agree 3 grand is enough for flying fancy 700.

I get iggy has radio, lipos, power supply, charger(s).

What about crash cost and replacement parts?

I fly two 800 and several 700 only because i got:
      $200 frame
      $50-$100 motor
      $50 servos
      $30 gyro
      $200 ESC
      $111 800mm blades

Iggy does not want a clone. He will pay for one 700 more than I did for two 800s.

It is OK. We both have fun. Probably he is much better pilot than me.

Our helis are cheapos anyway comparing to some Vario scale helis e.g. £ 5,517.12:

@iggy needs No Radio, No lipos (see OP) and has 3k a budget to pay for it, he will get a 700 extreme and servos for under 3k, you do the maths mate. With your reasoning, he better factor in a new BMW to drive @iggy to the flying site, that's another 50k. He doesn't care what I have or how much it costs, what you have and how much it costs, or anyone else. It's his project, and he will have a great machine for under 3k. He knows that he could buy several HK helis for that price, but he wants a Logo Extreme 700. That's his choice, yours was to down the HK route, I fancy Evolution Helis and TT's, heck, everyone has what they like. It's OK to disagree, but no-one has to justify anything to anyone (wives excepted). Just fly and build what you you like.

Kasama is work of art. Like a jewellery.

Hirobo was present on the market in '70ties.

      You have unique helis.

Logo 700 does not classify to this category in my opinion. It is solid mass production.

Ha convicts!! :D Im convicted by clouds and rain. Not these days for shure but most of time. I would rather deal with some dangerous snakes and spiders then with this simulator weather!

Its not easy to grab something backoffice.. but what about open a R/C shop down there and stay legal?

Sorry to go of topic, but there is my two cents.

Since your a young banker I would say stuff Australia and join the good people of Wolf of Wall Street. I would if I had the chance.

Good flying weather in Australia all the time is a misconception.

We do get storms with rain like everywhere else.

One day I flew my Hirobo Freya Gasser on a marginal weather day, there where no clouds above the flying field, but they where to the side of the flying field, and despite it being clear skies above the flying field, it started to rain while I was flying. Luckily I landed quickly (It was an experience when it was raining), ran to the pits real fast and no damage was done. During my run to the pits with the helicopter in one hand and the radio in the other it was pouring down properly. Me and everyone else where perplexed as to where the rain came from (perhaps old mates storm and crash decided to have a little fun).

Winter is good for flying between storms, we do get calm sunny winter days.

In Perth Western Australia, summer is okay, but there are periods where the wind blows day and night at around 20 knots non stop for days on end. It will not back of at dawn or dusk for a moment. The wind can drive you nuts.

Then there are heat waves, not good for your electronics, sometimes you get a few days with 40 degrees celsius plus, we got to 46 degrees in Perth, I dont think its good for your ESC.

I have flown in 40 degree heat, it was not bad, but take my advice of those that live in a hot climate, once you have had a few good flights, any sign of fatigue from the heat, stop and pack it in immediately.
