I am very very disturbed with the recent push for auto recovery and stabilization systems being so sought after by many helicopter pilots. This invention is an abomination, the dumbing down of a hobby which is designed to be challenging.

You the pilots have a choice:

1: Refuse to accept such technology and fly like real men should. Hold your head high and continue to learn, crash, and rebuild

2: Drop 500 testosterone points, buy a pink dress and use flight stabilisation

The choice is yours. I do not have any reason to support one technology over the other. I am only trying to preserve the status quo and dignity of truly skilled pilots who some how manage to dodge my bullets.

If you think flight stabilisation may reduce the incidents of crashing, think again. Remember you usually have to flick a switch. And you have to remember to flick the right switch....

So how do you want to go down? Crashing in the knowledge that I may have had something to do with it? or Crashing knowing that it was totally your own fault for not flicking that switch - and wear a pink dress at the same time.

    You decide

    CRASH

@Crash Heligod is forced to diversify his skill set due to lack of work:

Yes if only it were true life could be that much simpler. Somehow i think he would find something else to tamper with - there are so many variables he has to choose from.

I am sure you made Crash mad today @simon. He was in great form today. The first time i have ever seen him take down two helicopters at exactly the same time. One was @BeLoWseaLeVeL - where his engine crank broke and the other was @Manyc where for some reason he lost the tail while inverted. Truly an amazing feat.... And if i am not mistaken it was around the time you made this post.... lol..

if you rely on stabilization units and they work you will not be able to come up with an excuse to the wife on why you need a new heli
and if you go to all the trouble to flick the switch on bailout why dont you just move the sticks the right way instead

I thought @BeLoWseaLeVeL had well and truly paid his dues to the Deity, he did have a very unlucky run a while back.

ps. Don't blame me.....sounds like both crashes would not have been saved with bail outs anyway, can't help you for mechanicals, just dumb thumbs
