Hope you guys love this firmware as much as I do.

A few things that may help -
1) As mentioned by Corrado, double check elevator/aileron rotational rates in each setup to make sure they are what you expect

2) For tail drag compensation I find -6 is good for most model sizes. You can test it by doing side in climb outs upright/inverted and watching the boom angle. Flat or a tiny amount of lag is ideal. You don't want more than you need.

3) Pitch Pump - Well this is the ultimate tool for hard smack. And also helps a lot on the small heli's too where there is less collective authority. For a serious pop and lock session, I like about 40 on this. Becomes silly fun in hard stops and tic tocs where collective becomes very easy to manage. It doesn't impact precision and is really implemented in a brilliant way

4) Governor updates are HUGE in this update. Take the time to re-address your governor settings to make sure they are optimized. Defaults are still pretty good. If you like the overspeed high energy stuff like I do, the Brain is industry leading now in terms of how it dynamically manages headspeed recovery. More precisely, after you overspeed and load the head there is ZERO recovery time to the set headspeed. It's simply brilliant. McDoogle away. The changes made in feed forward and overspeed management also greatly improved the RPM holding capability of the Brain governor. My heli's all feel far more powerful now.

5) Auto-rotation bail out - I use about 90 on the bail out ramp now. Or sometime higher. Now the headspeed comes back on MUCH faster. So doing blade stop fakies and getting the power back on before you plow is stress free.

Will wait awhile, seams to have a few small issues at the moment.

 

Do you know what those issues are? Anything serious?

 

more to do with blue tooth connectivity and programming with same...eg serial interface.

I've seen a few... I'll upgrade mine for the weekend and let you know.. I connect via pc and not Bluetooth

 

Looks like they have already released the fix.. seems the file was corrupt on the server

Anymore updates on the firmware since the weekend? How does it feel when flying @Manyc, do you notice much difference?

 

I haven't enabled any of the new functions.. ie pitch pump... but the governor has seemed to improve.. however the weekend was so shiz weather wise it was hard to tell...

 

Are you coming down this weekend? If so we can play around a bit? with the pitch pump i mean... I am very intrigued how this function will operate when doing piroflips. I remember in the beastx it was one of the things I loved....

any updates guys ,have played with it on spare unit and thinking of doing the others....

 

Upgrade it worth it..some of the new features are nice and if you are running a gov it's worth it just for that... Just remember because they made the flip and roll rates independent you will need to go back and set them... Else they must likely will default to 0 and then your in trouble. You will need to do this for each bank...

I have updated my trex 700 and mini protos both fly fine..

 

if memory serves me correctly they are both at 150 but will check again.

 

Found after update .reload configuration file / recheck heli size and flying style .tabs 11/12 will set the missing parameters .still requires a few more tweaks but is this not part of the challenge.
