What is your transmitter? What made you choose it? Would you choose something else if you could

      DX6i to DX8 to 14SG

I really like the Futaba 14SG, I like the way it feels in your hands. It is amazing with the GPS sensor on your heli @3dmick, easy to program and the gimbles feel nice and smooth.
The Spectrum radios are OK to start with, but I don't think I could ever go back.

Yes I'm happy with the 14sg great tx I have a dx7 I've had for 6 years and still works great I just had to try the 14sg with the GPS to see how fast the old 700 would go 211kmh

Bought because of features (sbus/16 channel/telemetry) vs price ($300), but mainly due to voice (DX9 not announced at the time).
Would not change, being updated quickly (about 5 major updates/feature adds since I bought it)

Now have per cell voltage monitoring, haptic & GPS since the release.
Love the PC/USB port (optional!) software for editing/backup models

Futaba 7CH. I've always flown with Futaba since the mid 70's.

Futaba 8FG with Robbe telemetry, had a 7CH before that (now a spare/buddy box). I like the programming and feel, not that I've tried Spectrum or anything....

Looks like not many Spektrum lovers?
My favourite thing is the model match! So many times I've turned on my Tx with it being in the sim model, and tried to connect to my heli, no binding which potentially saved me, although my pre flight check should have determined there was an issue

They patterned that which is why futaba never release a version themselves... well that's what I heard anyway

ahh, that makes sense now, i've always loved it, and it eliminates the chance of choosing the wrong model in the Tx , just works great

      I don't know why they can't.
The Taranis has this feature.., the (bound) receiver number is specified in the model settings.

I fly with a Spektrum DX8, andI chose it for a few reasons. 1. it feels good and well balanced in my hands. 2. I can reach all the switches easily and comfortably 3. I do like the model recognition feature that prevents me from arming the wrong model. There are other cool things that drew me to it as well, but these are the main ones. If I had to choose a different transmitter, I think I would look into the Graupner MZ24. But as long as my DX8 is treating me well...there is no reason or need to ditch it just yet. :)
