    Hey guys,

As you have probably heard, ArkRC got the 1st shipment of the new 766 in this week.
Young Brent laid down his hard earned to purchase one, however he doesn't have time to build it!
So I have reluctantly agreed to build it for him, which I'm pretty excited about because I love the 'build' as much as the 'fly'!

I'll throw up some pics along the way for you, but it won't be a build thread or anything.

@Manyc is in the process of building one also, so feel free to add your 2 bobs mate.

Oh WOW! Just wow! Two 766s! I heard that you were Brents heli mechanic @hardsy. How has he made you build his helis? Did you build his other helis as well?
      So tell me please,
      Whats good about it?
      Whats bad about it?
and what sort of electronics is going in this baby...I can see the 160 hobbywing - which usually indicates a promise of big things to come.

This is such an awesome machine, just love the mechanics of it. Seen some of the build vids and surprised how big the frames are. If only money grew on trees :( What're yur takes on the axled feathering shaft? Is this a first in model heli design?

This is actually my dream heli. But yeah.. Even if I would buy it. Batterys and highend chargers would ruin me for sure. But hey money grows on trees sometimes.. Haha

Nice! Matt and Amy always put out great quality products. The Hobby Wing 160 is awesome too...love mine. I`m also happy so see that I`m not the only one who sands the edges of the frames before assembly. :)

I know Geena, it's the worst part and you have to do it first before you get to the good stuff!

I would suggest doing it under water with wet and dry...
      Just saying

      Hey Smakman,

I'm happy to build anything, nothing like a few beers in the garage, music etc and I also built his E7SE.

I finished the airframe build yesterday, and Brent has picked it up tonight to do all the electronics install etc.

The build went smooth and easy, with quite a few key components that are based on previous Synergy models that Matt has refined and improved.

The things I liked most were:
The head is beautifully machined and has a progressing damping system I guess you'd call it, with 2 x dampers per side of varying hardness. You can swap and change to suit head speed, flying style etc.

The thrusted main shaft bearing blocks are cool. Not sure you would ever notice anything in flight, but they are just impressive lol

The fully serviceable swashplate is another awesome chunk of alloy! No more sloppy swashes

There were a couple of things that were a bit meh, the main gear had burrs on the bottom edge, from maybe a blunt cutting tool when machined or something. It's no issue and will clean up after a few flights.

The battery tray was a much needed addition to synergy models, and it essentially works well with multiple locking positions for CG adjustment, but the spring loaded locking catch is a bit dicky to use. It is up inside the back of the frames and not that easy to get to. It will be something that you need to get the knack of.

Other than that it was a bloody nice kit to build. Can't wait to get one when the funds allow!

And back with its rightful owner!
