Couldn't have done that back in the crystal Tx era.

Interference from transmitters used to be a big issue so they tell me. It was before my flying days. Apparently at our club many years ago one disgruntled ex member used to sit down the road with a transmitter, take control and crash other peoples aircraft.

He could only do that if he knew the frequency or just got lucky and happened on the right one..... but with limited frequency bands available back then, it wouldn't have taken much luck.

Apparently they used to have a frequency board and this guy knew what frequencies were being used.

I don't doubt it. The guy sounds like a real a$$-hole.
