They all seem to have sleek aerodynamic design's, Typically lower head's .. Big power motors and more pitch is that it ?

Are they much harder to fly ? and if so ... Why?

Well there are many things to consider. I know some speed pilots and you will find that its a delicate combination between aerodynamics, weight, motor torque, motor rpm, electronics and aerodynamics. You generally need the best of everything. If you use cheap parts you take the chance on decking your heli at 200 Klms + . That cheap part can cost you dearly. Probably the best bang for buck if you are looking to get into speed helis cheaply are the align 700 trex pro DFC Super Combo.

I have a play speed toy of a OXY 3. been time distance on good day of 102 mph and bucking wind slow day radar at 83 mph.
I have learned also a big difference is a true speed build you can not do any 3D or sport flying.
My OXY 3 tail is set to weather vane through the runs and is nose heavy, 6000+ un gov HS, with very little neg pitch and 14.5 +
So not only is the parts different but the tune is also different IMO.

Yes we put a couple different tac's on it. To verify the HS.
      6s , 15t, 2500kv
HS 6,000+ on a 3.6V per cell lipo.

      Whats "ffs" ?

6000 rpm is bloody fast. How many runs have you done at that head speed and has anything failed? If not, do you intend to find the point of failure or will you change parts early?
I'm impressed so far and I'd reckon ol Crash HeliGod will absolutely love you and encourage you all the way.

I inspect post flight and pre flight. Take anything with a little play off and use it on my sport OXY's and replace with new.
Never had a fail in flight other than a dumb thumb and put it in nose first at 100 mph. lol
Ground was soft from rain so just broke canopy a little (canopy still sport flyable).

I am on the edge of blade stall so this is my top end. This heli is for speed runs and demo what the OXY can do only. Can't 3d or even sport fly it.
It's been up about a 20 - 25 times. Very few club fields here in my state have the room for passes.
Even light wind blowing toward flight line, it don't go up.

I take a lot of time to make sure everything is balanced and in good shape for these HS's. That's a lot of HS and heli is fast. Bad news for anything to go wrong.

      I can ONLY.
Go up, make 4 passes (right to left, left to right, right to left, left to right) and land. Nothing else because if I do I hit LVC. Even if I take to long to land.
