    Hi Guys,
I have been contacted by the guys from Xnova Motors and they are sending me one of there motors for RFS to review. From what I've seen so far they look pretty good but time will tell. I'll keep you all updated with where it is at but I am going to try and get a few good pilots to give it run and push it to it's limits. If you want more info on the motors take a look at there link. Efficiency and power is the key word for motors. Even better is power for free! If only. These motors look very sexy...

I am informed that 45's have a Y winding and thick wires.
The stator is very specially designed. It has coolingslots, so airflow can pass .
      3 bearings.
XTS have maybe the lowest inductivity righnow avaiable on the marked.
All XNOVA motors are hand wound 100%.. also the 40** series

It's in the post so I will put up some photo's when it arrives. It sounds good but will have to wait and see.......................

Well look what turned up at the door today, the motor from Xnova. So I have taken a few pictures before I install it into my Synergy E7se. The motor that I have in my heli at the moment is very on par with this motor so it should be a good comparison.

The box is pretty heavy duty so I think your motor will arrive safely

      IMG_4369.jpg
Comes neatly packaged and also comes with stickers YES!

      IMG_4371.jpg
Comes in a variety of shaft lengths and sizes

      IMG_4372.jpg
Windings are nice and the stater has a bit of heat sink at the base

      IMG_4374.jpg
Most of the information you need to know when setting up your ESC is stamped on the top of the motor. NICE!

      IMG_4375.jpg
The stater is custom made with cooling vents as seen in this picture and also balanced

      IMG_4379.jpg
Nice tick windings for what I hope to be great power

      IMG_4381.jpg
Very well machined and the out runner has a custom air intake to push it through the stater

      IMG_4384.jpg
Triple bearings to help with the load

Hopping to get it installed into my heli this weekend and get some flights in, will keep you all up dated...............

Ah so you got a YY wind. Which I believe is the same winding pattern as a Scorpion Ultimate series. What motor do you have in this heli already Radar? Would be good to know what you're comparing it against.

How is the YY wind better @timmy? I have a scorpion 4530 LE in my gobby with a kosmic 200. It seems pretty powerful but it punches the guts out of my batteries.

I think it is that the YY wind is more efficient with only slightly less power than the Delta wind. I'm no scientist though, I'm just repeating what I've been told by those more in the know.
