    Hi Guys,

Following a move to Adelaide this Oct i am wanting to know how the heat affects ESC's in Australia.
In the UK we dont get much problems but id imagine that the heat affects the temps and how you guys cope in regards to dealing with it and ESC positioning.

Look forward to hearing your replies.

    :)

This is how my 700 and 800 is rigged up $4 fan off ebay with a servo plug soldered onto the end I also would run a cc160 with the 800mx it will help with cooling aswell

I only really need to plug it in around Christmas time as it reaches nearly 40 out my way.

Congrats on your move to Aus mate

If you fly hard you will find the over current cut off with the 120a even when its set to insensitive it will cut

Average amp draw on the 850mx and castle 160 is 97a with peaks of 190+amps on the 800 pro
The 800mx is capable of producing serious power id be putting a 160 in it regardless

With the 800mx I used to over heat the 120 in summer... I switched to a 160 with the fan... been fine every since...

I am in the middle of my build, I have the Heli Jive 120, hope it will work, my style is not crazy hard, but I can load it up once in a while, I have a heat sink with the arctic silver compound... I mounted mine in the nose too...

Well kinda not really, I bought it used, and yes it did cost more used than a new Edge 120, but I have been using Jive 80HVs on my 600s now for a few years, and I sure feel they are worth the extra coin!
Yes I do use the ESC's governor, it's near perfect performance is one of the reasons I chose Kontronik!
The BEC is another reason, these units have a strong BEC that is up to snuff to power a 700 class heli...
Plug and play, I install it, do a 1 minute stick program tach it and make an adjustment to my TCs and I am dun!

      They just work:D
