What packs for a 700 do you choose and why .. there are so many choices out there, but what to get, i'm trying to make a decision.

    Stick pack or x2 6 s packs ? if a stick pack, why a stick pack over x2 6's packs ?

Where do you get them ?

    Cost ?

    Weight ?

    Dimensions ?

How many cycles have you put thru them ?

After how many cycles did they feel like they where dropping off?

    Thanks

    Mark

LOl, GF.. I'm leaning towards the pulse packs 65c.... 45c would do me, But i might go for 65c so can fly them hard if want (when i get to that stage) and also longivity of the packs is better with higher C rating.. so they last longer ..

Yeah mate I would go for the 65c ones I have had 2 stick pacs for my 700 gobby nearly a year now
And they are like they are brand new till they still have low internal resistance. Stick pacs
are easy to install into a heli that does not have a removable tray set up and your connection wires
are all at the one end. I just at a guess I would be up to only 60 to 80 cycles and still no sign of a drop
      in performance

yeah for a lighter heli eg e700 I would go for 4500 65c pulses. For a heavier heli eg goblin 700 I would go for 5000s.
Pulses have a good reputation from what I hear.

Stay away from revolectrix batteries though. I have 2 sets of 4400 40c packs and after 50 flights they feel like they are dead still using them about 90 cycles in but they are really sagging in high load manoeuvres.

zen have some 4500 65c pulses in if you are interested.

I will share my experience. I used to have a 450 black angel souped up with a scorpion 2221 -6. It used to go pretty hard. I used many different batteries and all worked fine except for one... A green pulse 3S 60c pack. It was shiz. Why:? Because everytime i flew with it the power contained within the battery would strip the main gear if i applied a quick full collective. So it was shiz in an awesome way! It was an incredible pack. No other pack I used had its power.

I haven't had much luck with the revolectric packs (12s 5000 mAH), did one cell in one, the next weekend another 2 cells in the other. I always land with 25% in the stick at least, and charge mainly at 1C. They seem to take their time balancing up as well. I have had good luck with gens ace though. I'm sure you can get a bad batch with any manufacturer though, just my 2c

Tried the revo packs. They lasted a while but seem to be lacking performance now. I have a gens ace pack for my E5 and that rocks, so I might get some gens ace for the E7.
