I have recently changed to flying with no transmitter strap, I find it's better and more conformable , after doing this i have noticed that there are a few gun pilots that do the same, I wonder why ..not that i'm a gun.

Not something i can really explain in details, i just find it feels better, you kinda have your arms at a natural length and the overall feel is better.

So .. Strap or no Strap for you guys ? Have you tried flying without one ?

I think thumbs guys (like myself, and Tareq! - never though I'd see those two names in a sentence:cool:) prefer no strap, pinch guys do, for the half and half's, depends on the mood. I know I want to use a strap (on), but it feels really UN-natural

I cant fly without my strap on . It doesnt feel like i have control otherwise. It just makes things feel right... I use the pinch/thumbs method...

I use a transmitter strap. I have used one since I learned to fly, and I don`t fly well without one. I feel too disconnected from my helicopter to be comfortable with flying it. :)

I like a strap, I do pinch, I also move the TH from TH to rudder duel rate on my DX-8, I added a balance dubber for the lanyard ring, to help keep the TX flat, I have a AU stand on my radio too, which helps to hold the thing flat...

So how critical is the strap attachment to your flying? Ie do you notice if it is one or two inches longer? or shorter?

it is not as critical as the absence of a strap...

I fly my 130 no strap from time to time, and no strap on the sim...

I have a few straps for theDX-8 and they are all a little different?

I find that I have to have my transmitter really low... My hands feel relaxed that way. If i dont have the strap, i can still fly but it just does not feel right.. I never use a strap on the sim either @William ...
