In my experience black blades disappear in the sky.

 

Only 1 way to find out.....

Fly the badboys.

I put holographic stickers on the bottom of the blades near the tip regardsless of the blade colour

 

I used to do that when I was using the training landing gear.

Hey @feral, I hadn't heard that before, do the holographic stickers aid visibility/orientation in flight?

 

@Stuart they can do mate I put them on the bottom to aid with disc visibility for hurricanes my club has trees in the background which camouflage's the disc.

I was going to give Zeal blades a try, but the only place over here that sells them is HeliDirect...and they only have them in 570mm and smaller.

 

Excellent, I have issues with visibility due to transitioning between view points with and without tress at my club (LDMFA) as you move around the flight line.
I will be giving the stickers a trial.

I know as of a couple of days ago the 600mm zeals were on backorder from the factory @Geena

 

No worries mate if you dont fly inverted just stick them on the top
