Mine is supportive. I run all major purchases by her and the only time she ever said no was to a Goblin 500. She said buy the 600 you really want!

My husband loves that I fly helicopters. He orders parts for me, goes to events with me, and he`s the best camera man who ever filmed a helicopter flight. :D

He even bought me a helicopter for valentine`s day a couple years ago.

Nice! My partner actually brought me a Twister Pro 250 when I first started flying. But I think I became too obsessed hence the hate on helis...

My wife is great. She bought me a heli workstation as a gift. She picked out a RTF 450 for my birthday once. She also surprised me by planning a trip to last year's helifreak fun fly in Anderson. She planned the trip, booked the hotel, made all of the arrangements for everything, and just told me to take certain days off of work. She never gets mad about my PayPal statement, as long as I don't spend a ton when we are really low on money, and have a ton of bills to pay. As long as I don't lie to her, everything is great.
Now I bring this up because I one time bought a 500, had it delivered, and thought that I could get away without telling her. The helicopter made it all the way to my house, it got unpacked, and sat in my helicopter room for a few days.
One day while she was out, I pulled it out, brought it out into the living room, and was working on it when she came home. It was on the table in front of me and she took two steps in the house and said "oh, what's that one? Is that new?"....................I panicked. I spent a shiz ton of money on it and for some reason it seemed easier to tell her that it was one that I already had, then to cop to buying one behind back. So that's what I went with.
Now fellas, my wife is a very intelligent woman. She knew instantly that I was full of it. She can tell my Helis apart by their "cute faces (canopies)." She had never seen that face before. One look at the PayPal history and I was in a world of hurt. She actually monitored my bank account for about three months.
About a year later I traded 130x for a Trex 700 nitro pro airframe with motor and muffler. When she noticed that a new 700 size heli with a canopy "face" she had never seen before was sitting in the helicopter room she asked where it came from. I told her that I traded it, and it was like she didn't believe me for a minute. I'm sure she went in the other room and checked the PayPal. She never said anything else about it, but I am always sure to tell her the truth when it comes to my helicopter addiction. I spend an awful amount of money and she is really supportive, so it is the least I can do.
The moral to the story gentleman, don't ever lie to your wife about helicopter. You can't spend $400 on a helicopter, have it delivered to your door, and store it in your house without her knowing. She will find out. You will pay. The last thing you want is your wife fighting you every step of the way.
My wife goes out flying with me, and she knows what it costs if I crash. She is prepared for the expense, and is always really cool about it. I married my best friend. We have known each other for 13 years. last night was our 6th anniversary of together, and also our first wedding anniversary. I wouldn't trade her for anything. She gave me two beautiful boys, One two and a half, and one two weeks old. My older son already shows interest in r/c. He always comes out with me when I fly, and loves flying planes on the SIM. I have already bought him a foamy electric free flight plane, and he loves it. They are going to be R/C rock stars. One could only hope :)

Oh yeah, she enjoys flying a proto-x quad-rotor
