They are probably good, I had some Turnigy 6S packs that had over 100 flights and were not puffy

I would not buy another Revo pack if they were 1/3 the price, they (IMHO) are worth less than that - 2 12S sticks lasted less than 30 flights each

I had the same thing with turnigy Aspc @simon, they were great with my 550 intitially, but as soon as i got my goblin 700,, they would puff and go faulty after about 15 flights.

This is interesting, do you think it's the draw we put on packs that determines life? My 12 sticks were in a G700 but not smacked silly, they didn't puff ar all, tey just dropped cells

I am quite confident the draw of currentz combined with the high current variation (ie 60ma to 200 A) tests the durability of packs like nothing else. I also think that when many packs are first brought to market they are high quality initially then the quality wavers...

I have some turnigy blue 6s 5000 packs that have been used in both a 700 (12s) and a 550 that have quite a few flights on them. I honestly can't complain about them, although the 30c ones with the most flights are getting a little spongy.
A couple of mates tried the nanotech packs and they didn't seem to last very long at all.
I'm still undecided about what I'll buy next but I would buy the regular turnigy blues again.

For the $20 price difference as compared to Gens Ace I think I will stick to the proven gens packs. HK have been known to put false ratings with their printed packaging.
Time will tell. If they are sub standard - the results will spread like wildfire!

i did notice the price difference with the GensAce, batteries are expensive enough without taking a risk

Mine can, it will pump two 7S gens ace packs, at 5C, It makes a PL8 look like a CB 250 with one plug out, but why would I need to do that (he asked knowingly;))

Yep, can set final voltage per cell between 3.85 and 4.35v with the default at 4.2v, and is 2000 watts best investment ever

everyone to their own, if you have a charger and you love it, then you love it . full stop. I am not saying the PL8 doesn't rock, it does, in a serious way.
