Newbie Help Motor For Goblin 570 On 12s

    Ok... currently I am running a Quantum 4125-560 motor in my goblin 570. I upgraded it from a scorpion 4025-1100 6s motor. And while it has more power, I have never been hugely impressed by it... could be because its now a bit heavier, even tho I upped the head speed by 100-200 rpm when I put in the quantum, I just remember not being wowed by it....

    anyway, always looking at other alternatives... but to be honest I'll see what difference the blackline blades make, as they should be a bit stiffer..

    the two motors I am looking at are

    Not saying I am going to go out and buy one... but its on my mind.... other than those two what else would be a contender? not really interested in the pyro.. but I could be convinced...

      well I think I found the limit with the KDE to day I copped a beating to day at AFF I think I all most thermal over load the cc120 edge
      motor was at 70c but that goblin 570 is a beast cant help but fly it like I stole it I might have to adjust the pwm settings to bring the temp down

      OK ITS ON LIKE DONKEY KONG! Xenova Vs KDE!... It will be an interesting watch! Melb Heli Club Saturday 16/8/14. ManyC i want to see just what your xenova can do. And @3dmick tripping a 120 on a 570 is just plain stupid powerful. Maybe you need a 160? Gotta watch this showdown! Is the kde too powerful? is the Xenova a better balance? Lets find out!

      OWWWWW nooooo.... I want to see it go! I nearly saw it last sunday (as i was performing maintenance on my minip in the club house). @Manyc flew at AFF and was going to drop in to MRCHC but pulled the pin at the last minute... Oh well so long as your going. I want to see what your 570 does..

      Sorry Ray. Wanted to catch up with Josh last weekend and since he drive over and hour to come out this way... can't really say no to going to gmac... but also I hear it's the country club for rc ... so I have to check out how the other half live...

      As for the first since Mick can fly me under the table any day of the week.. it will be hard to tell...

      Mick you thermals the motor out esc? Check out the esc logs

      Ok.. so opened up the xnova today... and she has some grunt that's all I can say... I didn't notice any bog... and the noise... man I almost shat myself and I knew it was coming...

      Looking forward to seeing the kde... today I flew it for 3:45 min at 2600.. came down cool... didn't have to take my hands off the motor.. and had 29% in the pack...

      It is awesome... very happy with the motor...

      got some more flights on the 570 today played with the pwm setting motor is still coming down hot 50-60 c
      I don't know how it will cope in summer I need to see this xnova go next weekend
