700 is relatively heavy. Nothing wrong with 700 anyway.
800 feels lighter in the air. You can fly it on lower RPM.
There is huge difference between 600 and 700.
800 vs 700 is not as big but very noticable.

Align 700 is perfect for stretch. Keep in mind Align 800 has exactly the same drive train, all gears as 700.

You do not have to do this. I did it to my two 700s and I love results.

Instead of buying separate heli you can have both sizes in one.

Protos MAX is simillar in this regard but some pilots were complaining it is to weak for 800 blades. There was whole thread in another forum.

Anyway Align 700 is very capable. Good choice :)

My 800 on relatively weak 4.2kW motor, weak lipos, low RPM, and with relatively low angles on collective was flying 164km/h. Measured with GPS. I did not push it hard.

      Dude that is fracken cracking.

Gps on my 800 pro read 197kph and I wasnt even really trying.

      280kph is just bloody insane

Agreed. It is probably more than official Banshee speed record.

Strong back wind explains a lot...

Actually Banshee is not 800 class heli. Align 700 is heavier but in fact it is capable 800.

Regarding cost... I am very happy with my clones. Check Gartt 800 thread.

If you want an 8003d Heli buy a logo xxtreme the trex800 is just a stretch 700
As long as you are having fun it doesn't matter what you fly or how you fly it :)

That topspeed is unbelievable. Didnt know that this is possible with stock parts. What motor do you have in there? 850mx? @3dmick

I will fly it as a 700 and if I think it could be bigger and feel lighter then Im gonna think about a strech. Or for lower rpm @utrinque

Thanks for the infos. Thats motivating!!

Going for a flight with the 500 now.

Greased shafts, oiled bearings, locktighted screws. The tailrotor slides very smooth. Enough for tonight.. Looks great! :)
