They should put their big boy pants on, it's only a coaxial!

I did not find any yet. I suppose 3D smack pilots are not keen on complicaded mechanics and prefer to build simple kits. Does it mean coaxials do not have potential for 3D smack? I do not know.

I know I'd rather break 2 blades than four! The tech is pretty cool, not as cool as those vids you posted earlier - mind blowing

3D with a coaxial seems like it would be inherently dangerous if not self-destructive due to blade strikes between rotors during hard maneuvers, although maybe not quite so much if equipped with fbl and good rigid blades.

All depends on mail shift lenght and gap between rotors.

      This soulution has its advantages.
      - no need for tail (no waste of energy)
      - much narrower horizontal diameter
      - no torque
      - no dissymetry of lift
      - increased payload for the same motor power

Right..... from my experience with coax, blade strike is more obvious on a fly bared rig where the top rotor flexes more than the rigid lower rotor. I would get blade strike if I was too aggressive with elevator pitch (Syma S033g and S107g).... but then again, I had modded them beyond design parameters.

I think the colonials might have a greater lifting capacity due to increased blade area. No idea on 3d though.... Im sure the pogos (pops) might be hard but the flips and rolls? not sure.

I can see flips and rolls being awkward from elevator/aileron axis being different from an single rotor due to thrust to mass arrangement.

I want one! Just be carefull not to stand up too high when stepping out of the chopper

      Definitely wear a parachute.

Yes i think that would definitely be a wise choice! Did you see the price of this thing? In eight years time it will be 375,000. Then again with inflation over eight years, that probably equates to 2,000 dollars today.....lol

Depends on how it autos when you loose the motor, my guess is your dead

Loose the motor?? By the looks of it, there can't be much of a motor there in the first place!

These were available around 3 years ago, they have since been modified with 4 engines and will fly with 2. They have also added a safety ballistic parachute that deploys instantly on command. They sold for around $30,000 They do not and will never comply with CASA standards. They came with NO warranty ! I don't know if any were ever sold ,but I guess someone in the world would be BRAVE (Stupid) enough to give it at try?????????
