Yes this is what I scored second hand. Its only about 2 months old with 8 flights. When I first got it I was suspicious why it had a Castle 120 amp. All the other 800's have a 160.

Yes it is a big machine

This is old frame with push-pull design.

It uses gears from 700. Fame width is the same.

      - frame is taller than in 700
      - boom is thicker and does not fit 700 frame (boom from stretch kit does)

My point is... 800 is just heavier than 700 it is NOT stronger. ;)

700 is more nimble, 800 is more majestic and FASTER! ;)

Look at novel direct to swash design:

The Align Trex 800 Trekker pictured in the OP's post came with the Castle 120 whereas the Trex 800 Pro DFC pictured in @utringue's post came with the 160 ESC.
It is a big machine, although really only a stretched 700 (shares allot of parts), not quite a true 800 like the massive Logo 800. Nonetheless it will get you a big beast in the air for allot cheaper than a logo...
Just to throw the word out there, I have a Trex800Pro with a sh1t tonne of spare parts that I'd be happy to move on to someone keen to try Aligns flagship 800, PM me if interested :)

I do agree but who cares?

I plan to fly my 800 clone over 200km/h using $50 motor and $200 ESC on 12S. I already did 192km/h two days ago.

I didn't intend my comment to sound bad, I agree also with "who cares" - it is still an enjoyable heli to fly, I do like mine but have now moved on to other heli's. My comments where purely for information.
That video you linked was one of the videos that made me order one 12 months ago :)

Nice work getting that fast with your 800 @utrinque, great results from the big bird!

Actually, all this talk about the Trex has me staring at mine thinking I might take her out for a fly tomorrow ;) Cheers!

It did not sound bad at all. It is true.

800 has bigger canopy and more room for lipos.

It is funny that Rhinos 4900mAh fit easier than Zippys 4500mAh in 700 frame.
