I got a protos 800 with magnetic canopy seems to hold pretty tight, but where would you hold it on with Velcro also?

Holy shite @The Dude that canopy looks like Crash's scythe bisected it good and proper! Did the magnetic canopy mounts let go or did you not secure them properly or was it other sinister forces at play?

Magnetic canopy mounts... They are not very strong.. so tail down funnel into heavy wind and boom... ripped it off.. I was going to do the @3dmick Velcro mod this week... If I had done it everything would have been ok... Maybe @3dmick can post a pic for us all please...

I noticed the velcro on Micks boom on Saturday and never asked about it's purpose, just thought it was to stop the canopy rubbing on the boom. Guess what I'm doing tonight..?

Hi @fred flintstones ..They are talking about putting velcro on the END of the goblin 380 canopy where the end touches the boom. Fit velcro on the inside of the canopy and on the boom tail. When you put the canopy on, lightly press the end of the canopy onto the boom. That way IF you are using magnetic canopy fasteners, the canopy is held extra tight. If you are using the standard screw in mounts this is not necessary.

Oh boy what a great weekend! Two goblins in 24 hours! @The Dude thought he could fly low without consequences .... baaaaaaaaaaaaahp WRONG!!!! while doing a low down talislide, the supposedly kick / pushout at the bottom of the manouver turned into heli plot! The tail dug into the dirt snapping boom and blades!!! lovely. And @3dmick thought he could end his flight spectacularly and impress the onlookers. He was right on both counts! His hurricane didnt transition the way he inteded.... Nothing like a little nudge on the sticks to entertain the onlookers... sorry @3dmick - NOT... Muah ha ha ha

Yes I am still baffled as to what happened
I thought the little 380 was invisible it happen so quick one good thing after a hard crash it was still in pretty good shape
Needs new boom servo gears tail push rod
And blades and it's good to go
