I`m still perfecting piro flips, and I have also been doing the death spiral. Both on the simulator and in real life.

 

Oh boy I know i was going to do another tutorial on the piroflip rotations to see if i could assist. Just been so much going on. I will do it i promise. I will also do one on the mobius as well. Thats a great trick..

 

One more thing I have have been working on as well, are auto rotation spot landings. I can auto all day long, but hitting the target on the ground has been kicking my butt. I`m going to surprise everyone at an event soon, by winning the auto contest.

Nice one @Geena. Its a great skill to be able to auto. Its almost an instinctive thing.

And @gonehelimad, I love the piroflips you have been doing. They are really very good for the amount of time you have been flying. You may get something out of my next tutorial as i am going to talk about the piro rotation and timing/judging the flip. Though you are on the right track - do the piroflip 1000 times on the simulator - a great training method. Sometimes the best teacher is repetition.

As for funnels, good call. When you say four orientations do you mean tail down, inverted, head first and tail first? Or upright funnel - left and right and inverted funnel - left and right?

Avoiding crash... Haven't been going very well in that

 

Still working on mostly rudimentary stuff, I throw in some inversion and what not... flips and rolls when on the sim. Still have long way to go.

forgot to add. ( thanks geena) just setup bailout correctly on 600 so hoping to start autorotations

also have the f3c bug and working on the f3c advanced schedule with phill and matty.

being very ambitious and pushing to get good grounding in everything ive posted including this post before eoy.

not sure if thats achievable. only time will tell. i believe very strongly in setting large goals and breaking them down into acheible goals so for this month hoping piroflips and upright both orientation funnels tail in and out are achieved.

 

Im currently learning to put on tail belts in the correct direction. In real life.

On the sim.. Piroflip adding half piros between in both directions. Piro tik toks, ailron and elevator tik toks and pirocircles. Trying in all directions and fixing the nose in issues. Added yesterday some "expo" in the middle of the pitchcurve 5% to have a better chance to find midstick for precision. It helps!

Ha ha... awesome @iggy, you must put your tail belts on correctly! Piroflips? Both directions? Thats very very cool. Pirocircles are a nightmare in all orientations but look awesome..... Well done..... And @gonehelimad your moving really fast!

 

I didnt know that the direction of the quarter turn of the tail belt changes the tail blade rotation. Scratched all my blades.. It hurts but new blades are on the way.

Im online in the phoenix sim right now. Swiss heli challange.

 

Dam i dont have pheonix installed. I only have neXt at the moment. I will install it again @iggy so we can fly! I have to find the disk though...

Yep @smakmeharder and @3dmick are Jedi masters, tricks from them, learn you will hmmm...

LOL... @simon . Iggy is fast becoming a Jedi master himself from what i have seen. And another up and coming pilot is @Manyc! He is making great progression, his piroflips are awesome and so are many of his other tricks. And so is @gonehelimad! Making great progress as well. It is so good to see.

 

So you only need to find the mighty disc of the Poenix!!! LOL
