Major bummer @Beaver I'm getting to know that feeling all to well. Back to the glass blades then? Murphys law that:don't crash for a while so upgrade few parts to attract crashes attention

Right..... I'm well aware of the risks. It wouldn't bother me as much if I hadn't just gotten the bird to a virtually flawless state, then..... Oops.
It's not so bad now.... damage control nearly complete aside from the servo issues. :D

Yeah it takes time to get used to. Having spare beater helis helps a bit.

I have other birds: 120Sr, Nano CPx, and a cheap "Frankenstein monster" 450 coaxial that I converted to DSMX/Spektrum/Blade electrics........ better than nothing, but compared to the CX450, flying the other helis is like going from a Lotus to a Lada. lada-2104-03.jpg
...... but then again, if my "Ladas" had come with those kind of extras.... I would have spent a lot less time flying. :D

that's another costly hobby to get into. You're going to need an X5 Beema to haul those kinda birds.

      Anyway......
I have a spare cyclic servo if I need it. Im about to log into the K-Bar and check things out so I can determine whether or not I need another tail servo.

One has burnt transistor inside.... only moves one way. If I'm going to change one..... I might as well change all 3 of em. Tail servo is still good. I figure I'll get better cyclic servos this time.

Choices are so limitless with servos you could be there forever what is more important in your experience. .power or speed?

I generally look for the ones with speed of 0.10 to 0.8. ..... digital / metal geared. The last ones were TGY MG90s, but I'm going to spend a few more $$ and try to find better ones this time.

KDS N300 were a big investment for me after a string of cheapos. Good speed and torque bit jittery sometimes. Probably cheaper in your neck of the woods

As luck has it, it's a beautiful day today, practically no wind, no rug-rats at the park....... and the 450 is grounded.

      Still comparing servos.....
Leaning toward Corona DS9x9mg series micro servos.
The Corona DS319MG tail servo has shown no anomalies since I installed it 3 months ago.
      Further investigation pending.

I've heard that also, but based on the performance of the ds319mg, might be worth a look... if they are BB.
