Upcoming Event [Jun 7, 2014] Winter Solstice Fun Fly, Queens Birthday Weekend (Bangholme, Victoria)

    This my friends is the event not to be missed by any mere mortal. The upcoming queens birthday is as we all know a long weekend so the Idea has come to fruition from TEAM NO - CRASH. That we the heli brethren hold the fun fly of the century Starting at melb heli club bright and early for an Awsome days flying topped off with a BBQ for lunch to keep our brains sharp so CRASH cannot take advantage of brain fatigue. The we relocate to freestylers for the late afternoon/ evening night fly session.. and a bon fire with a sacrificial heli experience like no other. Then we retire to my house with our traditional melb heli piss up sim session with loud music and me on guitarrrrrrrrrrrr. What do you reckon guys. ALL WELCOME

      Check with the airlines, I think lipos are a no-no. I'm sure that you can borrow some while you're here

      Okay, looked online, and lipos are allowed under 100 watt hours and in your carry on luggage, mine are 88 watt hours! :) ill call them tomorrow though and ask just to make sure :)
      Otherwise im sure I can borrow some! They let Li Ion batteries on and theyre worse than LiPos im pretty sure!

      Will call tomorrow just to check

      Or just ship them over Via DHL.. They will carry lipos... You can just send them to me if you like as i'm only 3 mins from the club .. Then when done, just ship them back.

      Id ship them over but Its only one pack man :p probably end up cheaper to buy a new one over there! :p

      Ill check with the airline tomorrow and see :)

      Hey @NevErSn0w
      I think the watt hours calculation is wrong, I would think they would class a stick as a 12s stick so 44.4v * 5Ah = 222 watt hrs. Sounds like you are calculating 1 battery in the stick (if it's a 4ooomAH pack). If you can take 2 then that might be alright. Just giving you the heads up so you don't get hassled at the airport. I can loan you a battery for flights while you are here if necessary

      Aha only have a pack for my G500 mate :p 4ah *22.2=88.8 watt hours :)

      Will probably buy a pack for my speed over there! :)

      Cool, no issues then. I'm sure you can borrow a pack for the Goblin Speed maiden - I won't borrow from @Crash Heligod though, I'd be suss on that transaction
