They look like alot of fun. Whats the visuals like? Is it high res enough to really enjoy? I see so many different variations - like anything you get what you pay for. Whats the best setup for a "FAST" fpv racer with a HI DEF camera!...

I'd like one for sure, they look epic. I saw smacktalk's episode on them and they look like the go - worth throwing some bucks at to have a look anyway

Some of the heli pilots at my club are getting into these. They have got me to watch the flight angle of the quad while they fly it in a straight line using FPV, so they can adjust the camera angle.

They have been buying cheap kits , we are talking around $250 with cheap camera and monitor. The visual quality at that price was okay. Definitely not high definition.

One day one of the guys got me to put on an FPV headset while he flew his quad around. In the first few moments, it gave me the slight sensation of being on an actual rollercoaster ride.

No hi-def - not enough bandwidth and too much latency. You'll find most guys use between 600-800 line cameras (analogue PAL/NTSC).

Seems like that would be alot like playing a video game. Here's an idea: attach small paint-ball guns and have "dog fights" FPV style!

Despite not having HD, the guys have a blast with them.

They abuse the quad racers with impunity as they are so dirt cheap. You most likely either break a 50c prop or at worst a $40 frame.

They are fun if you can afford the time. I've had a Mini Blackout for quite a while now & I have seen other quads, cheaper & more expensive come & go. As far as I'm concerned these are bullet proof.

I love my fpv racers! I have only been racing for a few months so i still get that excited feeling when i see a new component come out just like i did with helis. It is definitely worth a shot

So i am told immersion is the best setup? Is this true? And fatshark googles? 4S seems to be the go re-power (i would prefer 6s due to efficiency)

6s isn't practical in 250 class machines. Been there tried that haha. Esc's play a major role re performance. Fatshark is a common option. I use immersionrc vtx but prefer flysight goggles the res and fov is greater plus built in diversity rx. Headplays provide spectacular res and fov but are single rx like Fatshark. I could go on. Love it!
