Ok i want to put up some heli action - in order to do so i need to get a descent camera that is not going to make the heli look like its 2klms away. Also it must be able to attached to a hat so i can video hands free. It should also not be too expensive. Whats the go? I know gopro are good. What would be the best type of lens for this type of filming?

Okay this one is a video with flight. Gives you a better feel for what recording would look like with full motion and not just hovering.
The quality on this one is only 720p as i recorded the whole day in the wrong setting. my bad, but still if you view at its native resolution of 1280x720 youll see its still sharp (but not as good as the quality in my last post).

Wasnt kidding about recording profanity. 2min in i lose orientation but save it. LOL (its a cracker). @Crash Heligod you missed out on this one.

Please dont laugh at my flying skills. im only 4-5 months in.

Again make sure you choose 720p setting in youtube window.
BTW im flying the align gpro and tail holds well.

Nice flying, no one will ever laugh at anyone's skills, we have all been there, nice flight and great job after 4-5 months. Still seems a little too far way though. Lucky the hooded one didn't get that, it's no good when you wonder which way it's pointing. Thanks for sharing your flight video

Yes... the dark skies are the killer for me as well. I cant see the blades really well and you have to guess the "roll (Z?)" position of the helicopter. Gets really hairy at any sort of distance. Of course one option is to fly closer to your self.... Not recommended for safety reasons however. Nice flight Video @gonehelimad I really enjoyed it.

What type of self videos are planning on filming @smakmeharder? You should get a porn camera... everyone looks good on a porn video!
