Hey guys, I'm looking for some reasonably priced good quality 6S 5000 mAh packs for my Synergy E5.

I recently purchased some second hand Pulse 6S 5K packs from Dale and they fly great. I'm a gentle sport flyer tentatively moving towards 3d.

I was thinking of purchasing some more Pulse packs, but given my mild flying style I can probably get away with some cheaper brands.

Wondering what people's experience or recommendations are....

Because i fly using lots of colletive, Im probably the wrong person to be giving advice here... but here goes. I used nanotechs 60C 5000 ma for quite some time on my 550rex. Now i got reasonable millage out of them - that is untill i put them in my 700 gobby which is a pretty hot machine. Within three hard gobby flights my nanotecs were dying - i mean litterally. The gobby killed the packs. I brought some gensace and pulse packs. All i can say is wow.

I think the extra you pay for quality batteries is returned back to you in the longer term. if your going to fly pack after pack then i would recommend a better quality pack. I know the cheaper packs can last but the performance difference after 60 - 100 flights is substantial.

But if you must go the cheap pack route then nanotec aspecs are not bad. They put out in the beginning but taper off rather quickly. Gens Ace or Pulse are the go if you want durability and better quality flights.

You could try these babies ;)
We haven't officially released them yet but I have got them in stock and am happy to part with a few.
Going to sell them at $155 ea.
The Zen pilots are currently putting them through their paces and all indications so far are very positive.
They are an extremely high quality battery that we designed ourselves. The reason we havent released them yet is because we have ordered a specific cell chemistry and we need to be sure the batteries will perform. So far they do I'm happy to say.

I've been using Glaciers with success. They are slightly less expensive than Pulse. A couple of them have a very small bit of puff. I also have a Turnigy 3000 and 3300 that are almost 2 years old running fine! They also have a bit of puff

I have had 2 E5 and I would suggest Gensace, due to their size and performance

The Gens are great packs & keep on punching hard for a lot of flights.
@ZEN RC, tell us more about your packs.

The zen packs may be a bit too chunky for a E5, tight squeeze for an E7.

Hey Stuart, hows it going. I have been using the ZEN-RG with great success. I am pretty sure that the packs will fit the E5. I will source dimensions when I get a chance, thanks.

If they perform as good as they look they will be a winner!

Yeah agree the look great. Thanks @josh I'm keen to understand the dimensions. The e5 in its current config can handle something around 160*50*50 anything bigger than that I'd have to try one out to see where it hits.

its about 60mm tall, when fitted vertically in the E7 the straps are very hard to put on and its just right when its on the side but the E7 has 62mm between the frames when the E5 has only 52mm

Sorry mate. We will get there in time but it'll be quite a wait before we can afford to do the 7s batts. Definatley on the to do list but just not yet. I can always try to special order some pulse packs for you in the meantime.

Thanks @ZENRC, the length and width look ok for the E5 but I'm concerned about the height. Let me know who has one and when they will next be at either @AFF or MRCHC and I will come along for a trial fitting..
