velos 880 (2).jpg So what new helis are due for 2016? Anything new and exciting about to be released? 2015 saw release of a unique heli called the velos. So who can let us know about anything new on the horizon?

The HD750 has moved in the right direction with mods to the canopy to make it sleeker.

Original release was for January 2016, but this has been pushed back due to dampener modifications and waiting on parts that they have to buy in for the kit. Looking like end of Feb to March before kits are released.

The HD750 has some nice features. I love the way the motor sits high and alot of the weight is pushed up closer to the natural rotation point of the heli. If i could guess how this thing flys i would think it could roll and flip on a dime.

The kasama looks so nimble for a 700. Just looking at how it moves in the air. 2016 is going to be an awesome year!!!!

      Some very good points there!!
I believe the Gaui Nx7 has an easily removed fan shroud and needs only 4 screws removed to drop the whole motor/pipe out the bottom

For anyone that might be interested,
I see Blade has updated the 120sr to FBL. BLH4180_b0.jpg
They are calling it "120s". The board has been updated to the ASS3x/S.A.F.E. recovery system, the servos have been moved and swash phasing is different, they used a 130x mainshaft to lower the head down to where the flybar was. Different brushed main motor and a few other things, but its basically the same Heli.
      BNF $119.
They did the same to the Nano CPx late last year.

I still fly mine occasionally, especially while waiting for 450 parts to arrive.
Due to a setup mishap, I actually flew my 450 in "fixed pitch" configuration today. (Figure THAT one out! :D)

Yep everyone should have a fallback helicopter. There is nothing worse than not having any birds available to fly.. I have flown a 450 in fixed pitch mode as well. It feels as if your helicopter is full of helium! IE it wont come down easy!

Not new for 2016, been out for a little while I think....?...
Nice big heli design, but I've read the support from freakware (who make/sell it) has been average in the past with parts supply for the Shape 9.0

      It's somewhat relative to experience.
I'm just recently getting up to speed on the older Align 450 legacy.... so most everything is still new to me. :p

Maybe, but not in a thread titled "New helis for 2016".... ;)

New banshee has a teaser pic released, with only a slight capture of the side of the new one in the RH side of the pic, with the old 700LE in centre:

Maybe a bit smaller than 230 for the new small goblin.... G170 perhaps...

Also coming, the Goblin Speed Competition and Goblin 700 Nitro.

      Oh snap! A G170?
It contradicts my intended direction, but I might just have to have one of those!
