So the stars have aligned and the @HeliGods have spoken, and with the blessing of the @HeliGod Father , and the dismay of my lovely wife... I have bought a Goblin 700 Carbon Edition.. yellow of course...

Big shout out to @ZEN RC and @BladeBandit for helping me out with this.. they have gone above and beyond to get this sorted for me... anyway here is the kit

And here is the build I have gone with....
Servo's BK Coreless Cyclics, I have these on the Goblin 570 and love them

Going to try out the BK Tail Servo

And since I'm hearing some dodgy thinks about MSH, I thought I would give a Spartan a go...

Not sure when the kit will be released.. but when it does... here is the place for pics and ooh's and aah's... I will also give a bit of a review of the spartan if anyone is interested...

so all that's left to do is wait..

That's the first gen goblin.. doesn't have any of the competition upgrades.. main frames, head, tail.. carbon had those plus full carbon canopy and booms upgraded swash, another upgraded tail.. metal main gear, comes with blacklines apparently...

I'd be very interested to see what you think of the Spartan
@utrinque , that goblin model (they fly great) was heavily discounted to clear out for the new model, that's why it's sold out!.

Hey @utrinque , The first Gen Goblins are still a good machine - especially for entry into the SAB series. If/when crash gets a hold of them, they are easy enough to upgrade to a competition version. Is definitely the long way and a little more pricey to end up with a competition bird in the end, but hey, a very good starting point for the price. I'm pretty sure Mad4heli still have some of the older versions left and they will part with them for a good price if you do want one. ;)

Oh yeah BTW, I am pretty good at soldering... You need a descent soldering iron firstly, and the right solder as well. Then an extra pair of asbestos coated hands to hold the stuff while you solder..

Yeah I have a 80watt for thick cables quality solder and extra flux... I am better than I used to be.. but always worried.

Why I do believe that is a 4530-525 .... how did that get in there... :)

To be honest I couldn't fit in a 4535 in it... didn't want to hack the canopy...

LOL... @Stuart Ec5s are called EC5s because you need 5 hands to solder the suckers! one to hold the plug, the other hand to hold the wire, the other hand to hold the sodering iron and the other hand to feed the solder. The other hand holds the water squirt bottle to cool it down after a successful joint to prevent blistering hands 1 and hands 2...
