Hey guys I've recently picked up an E7SE (thanks Brent).

Wondering what ESC you guys run / recommend in / for your 700s. I was thinking of the Hobbywing 160 but wondered if I could get away with the 130.

    Thoughts / suggestions?

I run the Kosmik 200 in mine and it's totally overkill for my basic sport flying. If I was going to replace it I would try a Hobby Wing as the 50A V3 I have in my G380 has run flawlessly.

The HW 130 would be perfect if you're not planning on beating the piss out of it. Both the 130 and the 160 have a 10A BEC, so there is no gain in getting the 160 there. Only thing is you may need to look at a fan if you plan on leaning on the 130 a bit bit during the summer months.

Anything from a 120 - 160 amp esc will work...

for a motor if you want something a bit lighter the 4235 will work well. I am currently running an xnova 4530-525kv and work well.. but I would be worried with a 130 esc with that motor.. but then again, if you not punching it.. but if you want to muck round with speed runs you may struggle... 4400mah packs will be good for a light setup.. but if you using to practice what you have been doing the last few times I saw you.. then I would go 5000mah, as you will get 7 odd min flight time

if you want a cheap esc I have a YGE 160 floating round.. but you will need a BEC or RX pack

sounds like budget may be an issue. If i had to choose with a tight budget, I'd snatch Manyc's YGE 160. If not I'd get the HW160

My 160 on the Chronos is an overkill. I peak 140 amps.

I think the PWM setting on the HW 130 V4 is fixed @ 32KHz it's non adjustable at this current time, I'm not sure if it will be changed on the next firmware, I think the HW160 V4 is the same? I'm guessing those FETs would heat up a bit???
