Question? Static Build Up- Fact Or Fiction?

Aside from the obvious fact that rotors and moving air create potential static in general......
I've read different things about static electricity build up occasionally causing problems especially on belt-drive helis........ others say its not a problem at all...... still others say its dependant on temperature and/or humidity, materials, amount of belt contact to inside of tail boom, etc.
I of course have a preventative remedy prepared for installation, but I would like to hear a few opinions from more familiar intellects.

People might not like it, but these things are the future.

News Faa Laws And Fines For Drones And Other Unmanned Aircraft

Just recently the Federal Aviation Administration of America released a news series of regulations for small unmanned aircraft. This regulation details requirements for all unmanned aircraft - RC planes, RC helicopters and RC drones.

Here is a summary of the requirements and non-compliance penalties.

Any unmanned aircraft system (UAS) between 250 grams to 55 lbs must register. (over 55lbs is a different catagory)
$5 USD registration fee, currently under rebate (free) till Jan 20th.
Owners must carry registration info (printed card or paper in wallet, etc) and reg. number on aircraft....

Futaba releases an big update for the CGY 750. According to Nick Maxwell the system has now options to change from being a flybarless system in to a flight controller system.

Its going to be very very interesting to see how this update affects flying charactoristics.
