Well it took a while but FINALLY i got my chance. @3d Mick heard a strange noise (actually it was just me mimicking the sound of a stripped gear) so he decided to hit throttle hold on the mighty logo extreme 800 and bring it gently down into the long grass. As the heli approached the long grass I saw my chance! I reached up and grabbed the skids and the heli toppled head first causing the blade to boom strike!!! LOVELY!... So much momentum in an 800 size helicopter. You know there is a saying.... good things come to those who wait! and i have waited soooooooo long... muah ha ha ha!!!!
Got my first Mini P up & going (it's a stretch 6S version bought second hand) & have a few questions for the knowledgeable ones out there:

- I set the belt tension as per the manual. Spinning the head by hand (as if in an auto) on the bench & it seems pretty stiff. Give it a flick with blades on & it goes about one turn type stiff.
- On an old Align 450 Pro if I hit throttle hold it used to spin for a while, but the Mini P stops pretty damn quick.

I thought racing was difficult but these guys throw their quads into impressive unstable spins and flips and then have to get them stable again before they hit the deck. Can't imagine how hard this is!
Okay guys, the heli but has bitten me again and now it's coming into summer it's hurting more not having anything, anyway, I'm hoping to hopefully pick up an old dx4 or similar maybe a nano cpx or something like that, at the moment I have a budget of around $100 for both at the moment

I am in the process of recovering from one the most amazing weekends of my helicopter career. Four days at TORCHS helicopter club attending OHB 2015. There was so much to do this year, that they had to extend it to four days this year.
Thursday was pretty much taken up by the speed cup, which was really cool to watch. Some of those speed machines are just crazy fast, and sound really mean. The new one from SAB makes me speechless. Its claimed to be the fastest rc heli in the world. In the second vid you see a beta version in action but they didnt say how fast is was.
The aerodynamics are incredible. Fuselage made of three parts with a perfect fit. Even the front part has to be tightened with screws before every flight to avoid any aerodynamic loss. This is not funny.. Yeah, its made for competition only!
There are only three beta versions made so far. A complete setup will cost over 3 grand.. Holy moly!!
