Learn to Fly 3d RC Helicopters

Recently installed the CGY750 and had some assistance from @The Dude in setting it... Thanks ..

Any an odd thing happened in the test flight. On left rudder it just seemed to take off way quicker and much further than the minimal stick input I gave.

I panicked and had a rather ugly landing (crash) in the paddock, saved by @The Dude repeated encouragement to hit throttle hold and keep it level. We didn't have time to look into the problem so have only now begun to investigate.

It seems that very minor (really minor) left rudder or right rudder stick...
Hi Everyone.

When learning new tricks I usually stick to a system. Using a system yields consistent results and the methods I am about to disclose to you have worked for me over a multitude of tricks. Thats not to say that what I am about to suggest is the only method you should use - of course not - we are all individuals and respond to different stimulus. But it is what has worked for me so I am willing to share it with you.

Make sure the trick you pick is realistically within your capability, ie its self defeating to try and learn piroflips when you have only just learned to...
Okay here is the the Futaba CGY 750 instruction Manual version 1.4(E) for your enjoyment.
He's been simming quite a bit and is raring to go fly the real thing. (I'm hearing a fair amount of crashing on the sim at the moment. LOL)

Rebuilding my TREX 500 I placed some thread lock on the quick release canopy clips where the connect to the frame. Clearly too much. They no longer release. He'd to use pliers to in screw the entire clip from the frame.

So any suggestion on how I might be able to get them off without wrecking the canopy. I've tried using pliers but cannot get a solid grip on the outside. I suspect that the ball bearings are locked in place.

I was thinking heat, but have not gone down that path completely yet. Am considering just soaking in rubbing alcohol over night.

Ok here is a list of great beginners helicopters for those who are learning to fly. Nothing is worse than purchasing the wrong type of helicopter when you are learning. You need stability, you need crashability and you cant spend a fortune. The following models share most of those attributes. These are generally the helicopters you select when determining weather the hobby is right for you.

The first beginners helicopters i recommend are either the really cheap route (twister pro) a small coaxial you can pick up for 40 dollars approximately. While it does not really show you what RC...
I was wondering if people use self talk when learning a new move to aid muscle memory?

eg. Performing a left aileron roll
"Left aileron, pitch zero at 90, negative at 180, zero at 90, positive pitch"

Or learning a piro flip Nick Maxwell style (from his one tank tips series)
"Half flip out, 90 degrees, half flip out 90 degrees ....."

Or do you just wait till something happens and say "Oh shiz, you idiot"...

What works for you, any tips, suggestions? Interested in people's thoughts and experiences.
