Learn to Fly 3d RC Helicopters

Well I purchased the DFC link arms and swash for my gobby 380 just last week. It will be interesting to see how the new swash and direct links compare to the old system. I am tipping its going to be a worthy change for a two bladed setup.

The installation was not too painful, though it turned out to be more than what i expected.

To install, remove the head and change the ball links on the servo arms to the new ball links provided.

Remove the motor! Unfortunately this is required to access the screws on the swash guide plate.

Clip on the new linkages provided onto the servo horns....

I went up to TORCHS helicopter club this weekend, ( the field where OHB is held) and picked up this little cutie. Bobby had it for sale with everything but a receiver and FBL, for a price I could not refuse.

I got it wired and set up today, and now I am just waiting on my blades and batteries to get here so I can fly it. It has a Gaui GM-302S 1580Kv motor, Gaui GE-502 50A ESC, Futaba S3270svi cyclic servos, a Futaba S9257 tail servo, 360mm Halo main blades, stock 62mm tail blades and two canopies.

Caint wait!! image.jpeg
Hey guys,

As you have probably heard, ArkRC got the 1st shipment of the new 766 in this week.
Young Brent laid down his hard earned to purchase one, however he doesn't have time to build it!
So I have reluctantly agreed to build it for him, which I'm pretty excited about because I love the 'build' as much as the 'fly'!

I'll throw up some pics along the way for you, but it won't be a build thread or anything.

@Manyc is in the process of building one also, so feel free to add your 2 bobs mate.

I was noticing some weird feelings while flying my gobby 380 at the swamp. It just did not feel right, ie it was a bit lethargic on the pitch pumps. Don`t get me wrong, it was still great - but i noticed something was degrading over time. I was playing around with the swash and noticed that the servo horn was twisting when pressure was placed on the ball link. After X amount of flights the servo horn was actually getting softer!

So i found a set of SAB servo horns which were bigger, stiffer and harder!. I cant wait to try them out this afternoon. Too hot at the moment *35 degs. Has...

Hey guys, I have an E5 that I'm planning to stretch with the 626 kit. Components are

Castle 120 ESC
Gryphon GSR-7075 20A BEC
MKS HBL 950 Cyclic
MKS HBL 880 Tail
CGY750 FBL

I won some cyclone blades in the Heligods fun fly raffle (thanks mad mike). I also have a motor which I'm hoping to use.

Cyclone 615 Main
Cyclone 95 (or 105?) Tail
Xnova 4030 2.5Y 560 SP

I'm thinking a 12s setup with the above.

Comments and recommendations and suggestions for something different are welcome.

I'm not sure about the tail. I don't understand what tail blade length I should select and gearing if...
