Idea....An interesting alternative to expensive night-blades.
Florescent paint, either stripes or the entire blade, and a few strategically placed UV-LEDs..... in other words- Blacklight Blades.
There are a few variables involved of course:
1. Specific wavelength of UV LED has to be in the proper frequency range to react with the florescent paint.
2. The florescent paint has to have an optimal chemical composition to react to the UV (color, phosphorus content, etc)
3. The Safety factor- most UV LEDs operate in the UV-A range. Caution has to be used to avoid too much UV exposure to the...
At my field some people use reflective or hologram stickers on their blades. Its the same type of stuff you see on fishing lures, some of its flat shaped, some of its that prism pattern.

So when they do a flip etc, and the sun shines on the blades, things look nice and pretty.

Besides the various RC helicopter outlets which sell stickers, are there any places to get big pieces of the reflective of hologram stickers?

I am guessing its a good idea to make sure the blades are balanced when someone puts on those stickers?
RC Heli Nation have just released a new Pod Cast. Head on over and check it out!

Today was a beautiful ...but cold day at the flying club. I was all alone, but I got in six flights on the X7 before calling it quits. My little friend Tony was there to keep me company though. Look closely at the tail boom of my helicopter and you`ll see him. He hangs out with me every time I go to the field. He will even go into the back of my car, if I leave the hatch up...lol When I go to the flight line, he follows me and sits on the starting table while I fly. Then he comes back to the pit and sits on my table. Not sure what type of bird he is, but he`s a cutie....
Good day out today, not flying alone was great as I caught up with Charlie who drive down from Port Headland for a morning of flying.
Ambient temp was hot by this flight (40-degrees), bit of wind, but we soldiered on and got a few flights in. Managed to get this flight filmed, just a couple passes with the Banshee, cheers :)

Hi guys,
I am chasing a none working 120A Hawk ESC. It's just the case I am after.
