For a long time of my flying history, which is not that very long LOL, (although represents a large portion of my heli flying time), I have always flicked the throttlehold when im about 20-30cm above ground as part of my normal landing procedure.
The logic I am led to believe is that you are not landing under power and are
1) less likely to strip gears or do damage if you have a tail strike (assuming you autorotate correctly from this height down to ground.
2) have better control on landing as you minimise the rotor wash effect.

Ares 300cp
I find myself still intrigued by this 300cp. I'm still not read enough to determine if it is a clone of something else or not. It is belt driven tail, which I would like to avoid, but will probably have to embrace if I actually purchase one of these. I understand the radio system is cheap, but adequate, and can upgraded to better brand later on. I did find they have aluminum upgrade parts available, such as swash, grips, tail housing, and so on. My main concerns would be quality of frame and drive systems.

Descent Camera For Self Videos
Ok i want to put up some heli action - in order to do so i need to get a descent camera that is not going to make the heli look like its 2klms away. Also it must be able to attached to a hat so i can video hands free. It should also not be too expensive. Whats the go? I know gopro are good. What would be the best type of lens for this type of filming?
